[X10] 펨웨어 업그레이드 후기

kuccblog.net에서 자료를 보고 안드로이드 2.1로 업그레이드를 하였다.

업데이트를 하면서 느낀 점이지만 PC Companion 프로그램에서 메뉴를 찾기가 매우 어려웠습니다.
간단한 인터페이스지만 그곳에서도 무었을 해야 할지 고민을 하게 만드는 무엇인가가 있습니다.

설치 순서:
1. PC Companion 설치
2. 업데이트 도중 전화올 가능성이 있기 때문에 USIM 칩 제거..
  ( 실제로 업데이트하다가 전화와서 먹통되어서 다시 복구..ㅡㅡ;;)
3. X10  USB로 연결한 후 phone에서 usb mount 클릭
4. Support Zone 새로 만들기 클릭
5. 지시대로 간 후 phone 제거.
6. phone에서 menu에서 백업 및 복원 클릭 후 백업
(만일 이 메뉴가 없으면 sony 사이트에서 프로그램 다운로드 받은 후 가능.. 아래 블로그에 있음)
7. 뒤로가기 버튼 누른 후 USB 다시 연결..

첫번째 업데이트는 잘 된듯하였는데, 벨소리에 문제가 발생하였다.
인터넷을 검색한 결과,
1. 외장 SD Card 문제: 이전 버전과 업데이트 버전간의 미묘한 차이로 인하여 에러 발생.
memory card unavailable
설정 - 외장 스토리지에서 다 지우고 다시 마운트하면 해결
2. 벨소리 실행 문제: 컴포넌트 에러라고 하는데, 이것의 해결책은 다시 펌웨어 업데이트 하면 해결된다.

이 벨소리 문제로 rogers에 전화해서 물어보니,
펌웨어 업데이트 중이라고 기다리라고 하는 황당한 말만 들었다.

구글 검색에서는 여러가지 의견이 있으니,
답은 재업데이트와 SD Memory format 이었다.

이것으로 1주일간 삽질을..ㅡㅡ;;;

[X10] Sony Ericsson - How to backup and restore your data ; 백업 및 복원

Sony의 초기 버전 모델이다.
그래서 그런지 지금 나오는 것과 메뉴가 많이 틀려서 고생을 많이 했다.

펌웨어 업데이트를 하는데도 상당한 고생을 하였고, 업데이트를 해도 벨소리 문제등 여러 문제가 있었다.
이런 문제는 reinstall하니 대부분 해결되었다.

그러던 중 backup & restore 메뉴가 없어져서 찾던 중 sony 사이트에서 다음과 같이 다운 받을 수 있도록 제공해주었다.

1. Download the Backup and Restore application

To download and install the Backup and Restore application on your phone, just follow the steps to the right.

We recommend that you re-install the application, even if you already have it. This secures optimal performance. And note that in the new and recently released version, applications are also backed up.

Scan the QR code OR enter the following address into the web browser of your phone:
m.sonyericsson.com/backup


When installed, the Backup and Restore application will be available from your homescreen and under Settings>Applications.

Please note that data transmission charges may apply. Contact your network operator for more information.

Tap Browser on your phone screen.

2. Backup your data

You now see the Backup and Restore start screen. Choose Backup and follow the on-screen instructions.

The backup will be stored on your memory card.

Note: Do NOT remove the battery while the phone is running, as this may corrupt the backup (even if backup is completed). If you need to turn off your phone, use the Power button.

Tap Back up.

3. Upgrade your phone

Return to PC Companion to complete the upgrade:

1. Reconnect the USB cable to your phone.
2. Drag the status bar downwards.
3. Tap USB connected.
4. Tap Mount.
5. Click Next in PC Companion.
6. Follow the instructions in PC Companion.

4. Restore your data

Are you using apps from Android Market? To ensure that your apps continue to run smoothly, remember to log in to your Google account before you continue.

Before restoring your data, make sure that the upgrade is completed.

Then start the Backup and Restore application on your phone. Select Restore and follow the on-screen instructions.

To avoid duplicates, synchronised contacts are not backed up. Use your sync service to restore them.

[Google Picasa] 구글 무료 사진 공유 사이트

이메일에 첨부해서 메일을 보내면 많은 용량으로 연결이 안될때가 많다.

특히 블랙베리는 5M가 넘으면 아에 보이질 않는다.

그래서 웹에 올려서 보여주려고하였다.

구글에서 검색한 결과 Picasa가 있었다. 회사에서 google app을 사용하니 바로 연동 가능..

또한 모든 공개가 아닌, 링크로 들어오는 사람만 볼 수 있는 기능이 있어서 적극 추천!!!

마지막으로 가장 마음에 드는 것은...

이메일를 등록하고 이 이메일로 보내면 바로 사진이 업로드되는 것이 제일 마음에 든다.
웹이나 컴퓨터에서 할 필요없이 메일만 보내면 바로 업로드..
전에 내가 원했던 기능인데.. 역시 구글이 하네요..

환경 설정에서 보내는 메일을 등록하면 바로 됩니다.

그리고 기본 제공 용량은 1G 이네요..^^

blackberry app world에서 protect라고 검색하여 설치한다.

tektrak - Galaxy Tab 분실 방지.. (분실시 위치 추적)

Galaxy Tab 분실했을때를 생각해서 보험용으로 가입했다.

2 free uses 이니, 공짜다..

samsung appstore에서 다운 받았는데, 나름 쓸만한듯..

이런 것은 제조사나 통신사에서 제공해주는 것이 좋을 듯하는데..
좀 신뢰가 더 가고..ㅡㅡ;;


market에서 tektrak을 다운받아 설치한다.

그후 웹사이트에서 접속하여 member join을 한 후 사용하면 된다.
